The initial part of the program focuses on weight loss. Losing weight is an immense challenge, so motivation is key. In most cases, the weight loss phase lasts 2-4 months and motivation usually stays high as your weight drops. Once your weight loss starts stabilizing your motivation might start losing power as well. That’s when you know you are ready for a new challenge.

Motivation usually comes with specific goals: you want to stay healthy as you age, you want to be able to play with your kids, and you want to be able to live your life to the fullest. Examples of life goals that most of us think are worth fighting for. Short-term goals may be: getting in shape for the summer, getting ready for a challenging trip, or taking a physical fitness test at work. Find your own reasons why you want to lose weight. These reasons will help you build your motivation. It is going to take lots of hard work to get your new habits to stick, so you will need that motivation. Your motivation will get you started, and your new habits will make you succeed.

As an Itrim member, you have a personal Lifestyle Coach who will lead you throughout the Itrim program. Your Itrim certified Lifestyle Coach leads and teaches your group sessions as well as your individual health check ups and will support and motivate you through setbacks and success towards your sustained weight loss.
